The Dire Wolf Guardian Trainer's Academy is a facility where dog training students can be exclusively trained in several areas of dog training, especially as it applies to the American Alsatian.  Once you become a certified Dire Wolf Guardian Trainer, you will understand the complex training dynamics of the dog/human relationship and be a part of ongoing behavioral research for the breed.  With your certified trainer status, you will be able to train American Alsatians anywhere in the world and participate in cutting edge advancements in canine behavioral research.  Choose from three specialized training areas as well as a comprehensive general knowledge trainer's certification.

Assistance Dog Trainer's Certification

In this specialized area of dog training, you will learn many aspects of what it takes to be the best dog trainer of assistance dogs of all types.  In order to certify, you will be required to take the following courses:

1. The science behind animal learning.

2. Training theory methods and which method works best for working with Dire Wolf Guardian Assistance Dogs.

3. Different disabilities and their unique needs related to assistance dogs.

4. Assessing and choosing puppies with the best potential for being a successful assistance dog.

5. Specialized equipment and training supplies needed for different assistance dogs.

6. Laws and rules associated with assistance dogs and their use in public.

7. History of assistance dogs and the development of their use.

8. Specific techniques in training the Service Dog.

9. Specific techniques in training the Hearing Dog.

10. Specific techniques in training the Guide Dog.

11. Effective teaching methods.

Therapy Dog Trainer's Certification

In this specialized area of dog training, you will learn many aspects of what it takes to be the best dog trainer of therapy dogs of all types.  In order to certify, you will be required to take the following courses:

1. The science behind animal learning.

2. Training theory methods and which method works best for working with Dire Wolf Guardian Therapy Dogs.

3. The three different types of therapy dog.

4. Assessing and choosing puppies with the best potential for being a successful therapy dog.

5. Specialized equipment and training supplies needed for different therapy dogs.

6. Laws and rules associated with therapy dogs and their use in public.

7. History of therapy dogs and the development of their use.

8. Specific techniques in training the Therapeutic Visitation Therapy Dog.

9. Specific techniques in training the Animal Assisted Therapy Dog.

10. Specific techniques in training the Facility Therapy Dog.

11. Effective teaching methods.

Companion Dog Trainer's Certification

In this specialized area of dog training, you will learn many aspects of what it takes to be the best dog trainer of family companion dogs, especially as it relates to the American Alsatian.  In order to certify, you will be required to take the following courses:

1. The science behind animal learning.

2. Training theory methods and which method works best for working with Dire Wolf Guardian Family Companion Dogs.

4. The Inherited Temperament of the Canine - A review of current behavioral genetics and scientific research.

5. Specialized equipment and training supplies needed for training in different situations.

6. Laws and rules associated with dog ownership.

7. History of dog training - a review of the different methods used throughout the years and their effectiveness.

8. Specific techniques in training the Dire Wolf Guardian Companion Dog.

9. General behavior problems and how to overcome them.

10. Fear and Aggression issues in the canine.

11. Effective teaching methods.

12. How to positively interact with dog owners in all situations.
